Share science. Learn science. Do science.
SAGANet envisions a world where science is accessible to anyone seeking to understand life on Earth and beyond.
To open pathways for curious minds to ask fundamental questions about life in our universe.
SAGANet was founded in 2012 by a group of early career astrobiologists passionate about public engagement in science. We are still an entirely volunteer organization to this day. We are always looking for community feedback, so please send us your comments and ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org!
We are a community of scientists dedicated to guiding and inspiring the next generation of astrobiologists. We are interested science and exploration in any form, but we're particularly focused on astrobiology as it is one of the most interdisciplinary sciences and an exciting area for understanding our place in the universe. So ask us anything!
SAGANet's core feature is a live video series called "Ask an Astrobiologist" produced in collaboration with NASA. Each month, the program features a world-renowned astrobiologist for a candid one-hour Q&A session on our live-streaming channel SAGANLive, where you get to ask your questions for our monthly guest via live text chat with your SAGANet account, or on Twitter @saganorg with the hashtag #AskAstrobio.
With your SAGANet account, you can also message our Experts any time, even when Ask an Astrobiologist isn't airing. We want to keep the conversation going 24/7 all around the world. Want to learn how to start a career in astrobiology? Want to understand more about the universe? We've got you covered.
For archives of past events see our YouTube Channel. You can also continue the discussion throughout the week by contacting any of our Experts.
